PSM Workshop Students Meet Sean Holmes

Launched by Zorlu PSM in 2021 and continuing with the corporate support of Mey Diageo, "PSM Workshop" hosted an inspiring meeting for young talents with Sean Holmes, Deputy Artistic Director of Shakespeare's Globe, during its fourth term classes.

Having graduated a total of 69 students and brought 26 original theatre plays to life in its first three years, PSM Workshop offers a seven-month training program to 22 students through three separate programs: Dramatic Writing, Theatre Directing, and Theatre Production.

As part of the program, Sean Holmes, Deputy Artistic Director of Shakespeare's Globe, who has contributed to successful productions at prestigious stages such as the National Theatre, RSC, Tricycle, Royal Court, Donmar Warehouse, Chichester Festival Theatre, Oxford Stage Company, and Dublin's Abbey Theatre, met with the students.

Sean Holmes shared the following thoughts about the meeting:

"It was a great privilege for me to be invited to conduct a workshop as part of the PSM Workshop program at Zorlu PSM. Meeting with artists from different theatre cultures and exchanging ideas, especially working with artists at the beginning of their careers who are eager to learn, is always very valuable to me. I had an amazing experience with the aspiring producers, writers, and directors of PSM Workshop. Over the course of two days, we focused on A Midsummer Nights Dream and worked on how a production could be created. Additionally, we had in-depth discussions on the purpose and importance of theatre, evaluating how we can make theatre more dynamic, impactful, and meaningful for our audiences. It was extremely inspiring to see the progress made by the participants during the short time spent in PSM Workshop."
