We are the first raki producer with ISO 9001 certificate, and the first wine-maker with ISO 22000 certificate in Turkey, and thanks to certification of our Sales Distribution Directorate in 2008, we ensure that product safety is effectively maintained across the sales network. In 2016, all of our production sites upgraded their food safety standards to FSSC 22000 Food Safety Management System.

2015 Environmental Management System/ Greenhouse Gas Verification
We, as Mey|Diageo, do our best to minimize the environmental impacts, to reduce, sort and recycle wastes, to measure our greenhouse gas emissions and our carbon footprint, and to minimize natural resource and energy consumption. We are the first company in the alcoholic beverage industry to have the environmental management system certified in accordance with the ISO 14001 standard. We continuously improve our environmental performance by comprehensively identifying and controlling our environmental impacts.
Nevsehir Distillery Plant of Mey Alkollu Ickiler issued a greenhouse gas report and compiled a greenhouse gas inventory for 2009 in accordance with the internationally recognized ISO 14064:1 "Accounting for Greenhouse Gas Emissions", and had them certified by Lloyd's Register, an independent organization, on 07/10/10, which is a first in Turkish food industry.
For the first time in Turkey, the greenhouse gas emissions released as a result of the life-cycle of white and red wines of Kayra Vintage Series were calculated in accordance with the PAS 2050:2008 standard. It was verified by Bureau Veritas, an independent organization, on 05/09/2011.
We, as Mey|Diageo, believe that our employees are our most valuable resource. Accordingly, we accomplish our investments in this field. Ensuring a safe and healthy work environment for our employees is one of our primary requirements. We have been making planned and systematic efforts in relation to occupational health and safety. Accordingly, we have adopted the ISO 45001:2018 Management Standard as a management model that requires systematic control of the practices, which may affect the health and safety of our employees, and we have transited from OHSAS 18001:2007, which was a first in Turkish spirits industry, to ISO 45001:2018, in 2019.
It involves production of raki, vodka, gin, liquor, wine, suma and ethyl alcohol of agricultural origin and aniseed processing activities by MEY Alkollu Ickiler, as well as storage and distribution of alcoholic beverages of Mey Icki.
As Mey İçki Sanayi ve Ticaret Anonim Şirketi and Mey Alkollü İçkiler Sanayi ve Ticaret Anonim Şirketi (‘Mey’), we follow the consumer complaints process regarding the products we produce, import, sell and distribute with great care, in accordance with our consumer satisfaction criteria and the Law on the Protection of Consumers (‘Law’) as follows:
We receive our consumers' complaints about Mey Diageo products through our hotline (call centre) at 444 4 639. We also direct the complaints submitted to our company through different channels (such as sending an e-mail to [email protected]) to our hotline.
After the complaint reaches us, we contact the consumer within 1 business day and inform them that the product will be taken from them so that it can be analysed. By making an appointment with the consumer, we ask them to fill in the signed Consumer Complaint Product Delivery form and we receive the complained product through our courier.
In accordance with the Law on Consumer Protection, when a product is claimed to be defective, the product subject to the complaint must be taken from the consumer and analysed.
In this analysis, it is carefully examined whether the product subject to the consumer's complaint is original, whether it has been interfered with or whether there are foreign substances. This analysis is carried out by senior experts at the Central Laboratory of the Mey Diageo Quality and Technical Department, and efforts are made to ensure that it is concluded as soon as possible.
When there is a complaint about imported products bearing Diageo brands, we repeat the same practice until the laboratory stage, but this time we send the product to Diageo for analysis.
In both cases, when the results of the analyses are obtained, we call the consumer and inform them about the issue.
