Mey|Diageo Culture and Art Manifesto

We believe that in order to renew and pass on to future generations our understanding of ‘celebrating life, every day, everywhere,’ which stems from the tradition of sharing in these lands, we must cultivate a hope that is nourished by art, science, and dreams. Accordingly, we work for the sustainability of art and have been sharing our efforts in this field with our stakeholders in our sustainability report since 2021.

As a company that values the impact of contributions to the arts and the transformation they can bring about in society, we aim to set an example beyond the perspective of viewing art as mere ‘corporate social responsibility,’ by striving to be a ‘responsible social institution. Because we believe that a different kind of company is possible—one that supports the arts, advocates for the rights of all living beings, and is inclusive and unifying.

We want artists to be able to express themselves and their creations freely in this region and around the world. In doing so, we hope they will not only support the brands they collaborate with but also encourage all brands to advance together for the sustainable progress of art. And so, a world where art’s sustainability is ensured becomes possible. We continue to support the unifying and healing power of art in the fields of theatre, cinema, music, contemporary art, and literature.
