The fifth season of KüçükÇiftlik Garden Theater, launched by KüçükÇiftlik Park in 2020 with the aim of supporting theaters and becoming a summer classic, will kick off on July 10 with the performance of Fahrenheit 451, a dystopian literary masterpiece, by the Tatbikat Sahnesi! As in previous years, KüçükÇiftlik Garden Theater, organized with the corporate support of Mey Diageo and URU, will bring Istanbulites together with the healing power of theater under the stars in an open-air setting throughout July and August. Featuring some of the most beloved plays by popular theater groups, KüçükÇiftlik Garden Theater will once again offer a refreshing experience for both theaters and theater enthusiasts.

Since its inception in the summer of 2020, KüçükÇiftlik Garden Theater has hosted over 30,000 theatergoers in around 80 performances across four open-air seasons. Beyond its support for theaters, the program significantly contributes to the sector by providing employment for thousands of people and generating substantial revenue.

THE FIRST PLAY IS FAHRENHEIT 451 BY TATBIKAT SAHNESİ

KüçükÇiftlik Garden Theater, a serene green escape for Istanbulites during the summer, is preparing to open its doors for the fifth time in the 2024 season. Over the course of two months, the theater will host many beloved theater groups on its comprehensive stage. The gala night on Wednesday, July 10, will feature Fahrenheit 451, a play depicting a firefighter who discovers his existence in a world where books are burned, performed by Tatbikat Sahnesi. This adaptation of Ray Bradbury's dystopian literary masterpiece, directed by Erdal Beşikçioğlu, will showcase a talented cast including Erdal Beşikçioğlu, Elvin Beşikçioğlu, Ünsal Coşar, Fatih Sönmez, Selin Tekman, Selin Zafertepe, Meli Yılmaz, Eda Eğilmez, Gizem Memic, Adem Aydil, and Jehat Kaplan. The play explores the story of awakening in a dystopian world where individuals adopt a monotonous lifestyle, questioning whether it is always possible to achieve liberation in an uncontrollable nightmare that extends from individual psychology to societal order.
