06 June 2024

In the 11th episode of the YouTube program "Art Niyetli Sohbetler," supported by Mey|Diageo, Beril Sarıaltun, founder of Kreşendo, joins Bihter Ayyıldız, the founder of PlumeMag. Sarıaltun, whose Kreşendo is redefining music festivals in Turkey, expresses that the initiative, supported by Mey|Diageo, marks the beginning of a new era with their project "Bu Festival Bizim" (This Festival is Ours).

“I Wanted to Change the Culture of the Music Industry”

Musician Beril Sarıaltun describes Kreşendo as an organization initially focused on changing the music industry with their "Beats by Girlz" initiative. "Secondly, we are an organization aiming to empower women and disadvantaged groups through art and music, while referencing our roots," she says.

“More Pound More Sound”

Responding to Bihter Ayyıldız’s question about sound culture and pollution, Beril Sarıaltun says: “Sound is a physical entity. It is related to health as well… Just as the noise levels of venues are regulated by authorities, everything you listen to and hear affects the world you are in, and even how green your surroundings are.”

Sustainability is Inextricable from Art and Culture!

Art historian and communicator Bihter Ayyıldız describes the "Art Niyetli Sohbetler" series: “PlumeMag has been producing content focused on sustainable living trends for over four years. Sustainable living trends are not a topic that can be separated from art and culture for us. Our series ‘Art Niyetli Sohbetler,’ which is sponsored by Mey|Diago in the Culture-Art category, involves asking valuable names from every field of art questions about life, the future, nature, and the future of the planet through art.”

The "Art Niyetli Sohbetler" series, prepared by PlumeMag's founder Bihter Ayyıldız with the support of Mey|Diageo, features conversations with influential artists such as Bedri Baykam, Rabia Çapa, Nevzat Sayın, Zeynep Göğüs, Yusuf Taktak, Server Demirtaş, Haar founders Hande Şekerciler and Arda Salkım, Ecem Dilan Köse, and Sera Sade. All episodes of the series can be accessed on YouTube, Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and the written version is available on the PlumeMag website.
