Sustainable Support to New Talents of Theater

SUSTAINABLE SUPPORT TO NEW TALENTS OF THEATER BY MEY|DIAGEO & ZORLU PSM DEADLINE FOR APPLICATIONS TO PSM WORKSHOP IS SEPTEMBER 15

Application to PSM Workshop, which is held by Mey|Diageo and Zorlu PSM, who take providing sustainable support to culture and arts as their duty to introduce new talents to theater, are still open! Amateur and professional directors, producers and playwrights aged between 18-30 can apply to PSM Workshop, which includes three separate departments, namely dramatic writing, theater directing and theater production. The deadline for applications to PSM Workshop, which is held free of charge in cooperation with MeyIDiageo and Zorlu PSM, is Friday, September 15, 2023.

Mey|Diageo contributes to the sustainability of theater by providing support to PSM Workshop, which is held free of charge by Zorlu PSM to introduce new talents to the theater world in the fields of playwriting, theater directing and theater production.

Theoretical and practical trainings, which have been developed under the moderation of Serdar Bilis, one of the prominent theater directors in Türkiye, and will be held every week for 7 months, aim to help the participants become competent and well-qualified in the entire process, from the first step of sparking an idea of a play to post-staging process. Students are going to complete the program by creating a short play at the end of the PSM Workshop, which will last until June.

PSM Workshop, which has been launched to enrich the theater corpus with original content and to offer its students the opportunity to learn about the theater industry on-site. The world-class technical infrastructure and extensive ecosystem of Zorlu PSM in the field of theater allow the students to learn and experience the process, from creating a production at the desk to staging it, in detail.

The deadline for the applications to the new term of PSM Workshop, which has staged 18 different plays and had more than 40 graduates, is Friday, September 15, 2023.

Experienced Instructor Staff

The instructor staff of PSM Workshop, where prominent directors, playwrights and producers from Türkiye give lessons, also includes international names experienced in the relevant fields.  PSM Workshop consists of today's successful directors, playwrights and producers, including Serdar Bilis, Ozlem Hemis, Philip Arditti, Aylin Aliveren, Ozlem Ozhabes, Mehmet Ergen, Aysegul Beyazdag, Pelin Ekinci Kaya and Cem Gork.
