NB Ekonomi / Bahar Ucanlar has become the new General Manager of Mey|Diageo

Bahar Ucanlar, who has been serving as the Marketing Director at Mey|Diageo since January 2021, has been appointed as the General Manager of Mey|Diageo, becoming the company's first female general manager. Ucanlar, who will take over the position from Levent Komur on April 1st, will focus on bringing the company's success to the next level by transferring her experience and expertise gained from past leadership roles to her new role at Mey|Diageo. Throughout her 24-year career, Bahar Ucanlar has held managerial and general management positions in many national and international companies. A graduate of Boğaziçi University's Business Administration Department, Ucanlar began her professional career in 2000. She completed her MBA program at the University of Michigan in the United States between 2002 and 2004, and worked as a management consultant at Bain & Company, specializing in FMCG, healthcare, and private equity sectors. After holding leadership roles at PepsiCo in the United States, she returned to Turkey in 2011 and held senior strategy and marketing positions at organizations such as Mondelez International, Turkcell, and Kantar Research. In 2017, she was appointed as the General Manager of Mars Sportive, where she served in this role for approximately 3 years. Joining Mey|Diageo in January 2021, Bahar Ucanlar held the position of Marketing Director for 3 years and led many important projects.
