KüçükÇiftlik Garden Theater Opens Its Fifth Season with "Fahrenheit 451" on July 10!

KüçükÇiftlik Garden Theater, a beloved summer classic of KüçükÇiftlik Park, is kicking off its fifth season with the performance of "Fahrenheit 451" by Tatbikat Sahnesi on July 10. This initiative, launched in 2020 to support theater and become a staple of the summer season, will once again bring the healing power of theater under the stars to Istanbulites in KüçükÇiftlik Garden throughout July and August. KüçükÇiftlik Garden Theater will host some of the most popular plays from beloved theater groups over the summer, providing a refreshing experience for both theaters and theater enthusiasts. Since its inception in the summer of 2020, KüçükÇiftlik Garden Theater has welcomed over 30,000 theatergoers through approximately 80 performances across four outdoor seasons. Besides supporting theaters, it significantly contributes to the sector by providing employment to thousands of people through its program.

FIRST PLAY FROM TATBIKAT SAHNESI: FAHRENHEIT 451

KüçükÇiftlik Garden Theater, known for its lush and peaceful garden setting, is preparing to open its doors for the fifth time in the 2024 season. For two months, the theater will host many beloved theater groups on its comprehensive stage. The season will kick off on Wednesday, July 10, with a gala night featuring Tatbikat Sahnesi's adaptation of "Fahrenheit 451." The play, set in a dystopian world where books are burned, follows the story of a firefighter who discovers his own existence in such a world.

The performance, directed by Erdal Beşikçioğlu and based on Ray Bradbury's dystopian masterpiece, features Erdal Beşikçioğlu, Elvin Beşikçioğlu, Ünsal Coşar, Fatih Sönmez, Selin Tekman, Selin Zafertepe, Meli Yılmaz, Eda Eğilmez, Gizem Memiç, Adem Aydil, and Jehat Kaplan. The play explores the theme of awakening in a dystopian world where individuals conform to a monotonous lifestyle, questioning whether it is ever possible to achieve salvation in such an uncontrollable nightmare.

The KüçükÇiftlik Garden Theater, organized with the corporate support of Mey|Diageo and URU, opens its doors at 7:30 PM, with performances starting at 9:00 PM. Tickets for the shows can be obtained from Mobilet and the KüçükÇiftlik Park box office.
