Gazete Pencere / THOSE SEEKING THE FUTURE IN ART AT PSM ATÖLYE!

21 June 2024

Zorlu Performing Arts Center began producing its own productions and plays with the onset of the pandemic. Over the past two seasons, more than 50 students have graduated and approximately 20 plays have been produced. Now, most of the graduates are holding significant positions in the cultural and arts sector.

The third term of the PSM Atölye, which was launched to ensure the sustainability of theater and is supported by Mey|Diageo, has been completed. The program includes dramatic writing, theater directing, and theater production.

I was among those who watched the plays prepared by the participants. This year, the plays "Yüzyılın Oyunu," "Kuzguncuk Sular Altında," "Artık Hiç Geçmeyecek," and "Kısık Ateşte Düdüklü Tencere" were showcased. "Kısık Ateşte Düdüklü Tencere" was the play I liked and was most impressed by.

Special thanks to the Mey|Diageo family, especially to Banu Zeytinoğlu, the cultural arts consultant at Mey|Diageo, Serdar Biliş, who directed the project, and the educators who contributed to the workshop. My heartfelt gratitude goes to everyone involved. Because the future is in art!
