Turkey's leading businesspeople shared their expectations and priorities for 2025 with Fast Company, highlighting the issues set to define the new year.
Amid expectations filled with both hope and numerous concerns, companies are focusing on "efficiency" and "navigating uncertainty" during this period. Bahar Uçanlar, CEO of Mey|Diageo, believes that "2025 will, like the past few years, be marked by global economic uncertainties and geopolitical developments." She explains:
"Companies will aim to build more flexible and resilient structures to counter economic uncertainties. Therefore, we will focus on enhancing our ability to navigate uncertainty and manage change. We will particularly dedicate more time to financial flexibility, resilience, decisive action, effective collaboration, and agility."
Vecih Yılmaz, CEO of Akçansa, anticipates a decline in inflation and high interest rates both in Turkey and globally. He also foresees partial improvement in geopolitical challenges:
"We expect the upcoming period to be more positive. We plan to approach 2025 as a year of preparation and positioning for the following years. Additionally, digitalization and sustainability will remain key focus areas on our agenda."
