Campaign.tr / Bahar Ucanlar has become the first female General Manager of Mey|Diageo

Bahar Ucanlar, who has been serving as the Marketing Director at Mey|Diageo since January 2021, has been appointed as the General Manager of Mey|Diageo, becoming the company's first female General Manager. She will assume her new role on April 1st, 2024, taking over from Levent Komur. Drawing from her experience and expertise in past leadership roles, Ucanlar will focus on elevating the success of Mey|Diageo to new heights.

Throughout her 24-year career, Bahar Ucanlar has held various managerial and general management positions in numerous national and international companies, solidifying her position among Turkey's top marketing leaders. A graduate of Bogazici University's Business Administration Department, she embarked on her professional journey in 2000. Between 2002 and 2004, she completed her MBA program at the University of Michigan in the United States, specializing in FMCG, healthcare, and private equity sectors while serving as a management consultant at Bain & Company. Following her leadership roles at PepsiCo in the United States, she returned to Turkey in 2011 and held senior strategy and marketing positions at organizations such as Mondelez International, Turkcell, and Kantar Research. In 2017, she assumed the role of General Manager at Mars Sportive, where she served for approximately three years.

Following her successful career path, Bahar Ucanlar joined Mey|Diageo in January 2021, serving as the Marketing Director for three years and leading numerous significant projects. Her appointment as the first female General Manager of Mey|Diageo marks a milestone in the company's history. Ucanlar will commence her new role on April 1st, 2024, continuing to contribute her expertise to the company's growth and success.
