Bahar Ucanlar has been appointed as the Marketing Director at Mey Diageo 

Bahar Ucanlar has been appointed as the Marketing Director at Mey Diageo, the leading spirits producer in investment, employment and exports in Türkiye since its establishment in 2004.

Bahar Ucanlar has been appointed as the Marketing Director at Mey Diageo, one of the largest consumer goods companies in Türkiye with nine plants across Türkiye, premium brands and 1100 employees, including sales teams.

After graduating from the Department of Business Administration of Bogazici University, Bahar Ucanlar started her career in 2000 at Istanbul office of Monitor Group, concentrating on FMCG and telecom industries. After joining Shell and serving as the Sales Manager, Istanbul Europe region, Ucanlar studied MBA program from 2002 to 2004 at the University of Michigan in the USA, and started serving as a management consultant at Bain & Company. During three years of her service at this company, she specialized in FMCG, healthcare and private equity industries.

In 2007, Bahar Ucanlar started to serve as the Strategy Director of the Quaker brand at Chicago office of PepsiCo. In 2010, she was appointed as the Marketing Director and General Manager of Quaker Snacks unit.

In 2011, Ucanlar returned to Türkiye and started to serve as the Director of Strategy and Marketing at Mondelez International and managed 6 categories, and innovation and research units.

After working at Mondelez for about 3 years, Ucanlar joined Turkcell and started to serve as the Young Segment Director in late 2013. Afterwards, she served as the Marketing Director responsible for communications, media and events at Turkcell.

After quitting Turkcell in 2016, Ucanlar continued her career as the Commercial Director responsible for the Southern and Eastern European regions of Kantar Arastirma for a short while, and in 2017, she started to serve as the General Manager at Mars Sportif. 

On January 18, 2021, Bahar Ucanlar was appointed as the Marketing Director at Mey Diageo.

Bahar Ucanlar is married with two daughters, and is an excellent command of English and German.
